GHD Building Cairns
An architecturally defined 40m x 40m, four storey commercial office building, located in the Cairns CBD. Design features include open plan layouts and flexible interior spaces. Natural light from all facades fills the spaces, minimising the need for artificial lighting. Glare is controlled through a number of high and low level aluminium louvres and shade screens.
The design scope separately included the fit-out of GHD Consulting Engineers and the Department of Immigration offices over two floors.
The main lobby features local marble cladding and is clearly identified by the striking blue beacon.
